The German Bird of Prey Sanctuary at Guttenberg Castle presents birds of prey in its aviaries and during interesting flight demonstrations.

Within the imposing walls of one of the last undestroyed Staufer castles in Germany, the flair of the Middle Ages can be felt everywhere. Eagles, vultures and the like, the feathered inhabitants of the Deutsche Greifenwarte, fly over the castle battlements or directly over the heads of the spectators. In the twice-daily flight demonstrations

flight demonstrations, an unusually large number of large birds of prey are at the start. The "ground staff" also explain all the interesting and exciting facts about the birds to visitors. A total of 60 majestic large birds of prey and owls live in the castle‘s kennels, most of them in brand new aviaries. A showcase exhibition and touchscreen stations provide a close-to-nature insight into the life of the birds."
