You will experience the close ties between the city of Amorbach as a center of intellectual and cultural life with writers, philosophers and musicians on this special city tour.

On a tour of the historic old town, you will get to know the points of contact with literature and music. The city guide Heiner Schnorr tells you about the years of theater at the Fürstlich-Leiningen court in the early 19th century. You will meet Reinhold Grzega, the author of a modern version of the Nibelungenlied with the title “How Hagen Siegfried was stabbed to death in the Odenwald near Amorbach”. The famous Frankfurt philosopher Theodor W. Adorno spent his youth in the Franconian gem of Amorbach. Learn interesting things from the co-founder of the Frankfurt School and other writers. Musical performances, e.g. a flute piece by the Swedish court conductor Joseph Martin Kraus, who spent the first year of his life in Amorbach, enrich the city tour.
